I wanted one - for starters I think it'd look cool on a A/W

I also hadnt played with a perfect vamp on a sword, so I bought a victos blade for 30k, at the time thinking it was a good price (now they're half or even less as I type I suppose).

Had I known they'd start dropping I definately would have waited to pick up my own moddable one to be sure (much more of a fan of mods like zealous).

Also if you could dual wield it it'd be that much more interesting

But yeah you never know what they're going to do - it went from none available to green to dropping a hella-lot.

Personally i think that the shadow blade should have been made a little bigger. it looks too small on my character, compared to seeing it on the shadow warriors in fissure and how much bigger it looks on them. That and for looks I think the wingblade is the nicest

Besides, i have a shadow blade that dropped for me free about a month and a half before these came out that has good stats on it. i can get the same one thats req 9 for around 15-20k right now. like im gonna spend 100k on one. pfft

Want a bigger sword Mistress Yichi, a Fellblade should be what you wanted. I agree that Victos Blade is better solution instead of going down to FoW and hoping you would get a Gold 15%^50% Shadowblade.

I like the look of Shadow Blades. I have a Drok's long sword and a Victo's Blade; they both serve a purpose. But I'd like to have a Furious Shadow Blade of Fortitude one day. Switching weapons due to vampiric health drain is annoying.

I think fellblades just look stupid, very Final Fantasy/Cloud. Gayyyyy.......

Its really like fat people in real life (no objections) they are just as good as other pople in jobs just look worse, shadow blades to saem amount of damage as tribal blades but look nicer, so price goes up, FoW armor too is the same, stats are the same look different all that has to do with it...

I was wishing they'd bring them back for a while (I wanted one I could stand there and admire, rather than only seitch to for combat, e.g. Victos Blade), but I have nearly no money. I'll wait until they've completely saturated the market.

I always liked the shadow blade skin, but never bought victos blade because of the vamp mod.

Now that shadow blades are dropping I will get one when the price is right, and mod it the way I want.

I agree with what a few others have said...if I want one I'll just use my Victo's.

I think they look pretty good, but they do need to be a bit bigger. It looks kind of odd when my Warrior is holding it.

I tend to like the "odd" looking swords...Spathas, Fellblades, etc.

Long Sword FTW

Its still the best sword skin and probly always will be. Its simplistic, noticable, and looks like a sword should when you are hacking.

Victos killed the market for shadow blades before it even began. Vamp, zealous, and furious are the only hilts you probly ever use (at least smart players). 30 hp is always going to be the pommel for war weapons due to your high armor you don't need anything else.

We can get the 2 best mods and most popular dmg mod from a green.

Besides what else has dropped in UW in the past 8 months besides ectos?

i like my shadow blade. its 14% while enchanted so thats pretty decent. i didnt pay for it so more to the good.

Just got my first Shadow Blade from a FoW chest last night. 14%^50%, Health +29, req 10. Not sure if I should keep or sell. I'm leaning toward selling it, to make the money while the demand is high. I do need a good sword, as backup though. Maybe I'll just sell this and get a collector sword. Like quickmonty said, performance > look.

i had shadowblade during betas - it dropped for me in UW i think... it was so long ago

i really like the skin and its nice to have it back, not sure about *plastic* look tho. but again all vanity skins are the matter of personal preference - some ppl like chaos axes, some prefer sephis axe and so on... as long as u can afford it u can use whatever u like - imho its better to have perfect weapons wit regular skin than so-so vanity skin weapons. but if smbdy can buy 15^50 shadowblade - why not?

I hate victors, but I just bought a max purple shadow blade for 1.8k. I'm setting it up for my all-black character. Shadow Blade + Shadow Shield FTW!
